 Eligibility Criteria

The Delaware Child Care Services are only available for those children who are below the age of 13 and those children’s who are child abused they are also eligible for these services if they are under age 13. The Division of Social Services determines the family’s eligibility by their annual income, the income level which is set at 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.  If your Children is below 13 age and is mentally disabled so they are also eligible for this program. To be eligible for this program a family gross monthly income should below 185% of the FPL family size so after that they will be eligible for this. If the family monthly gross income increases between the 185% to 200% at the annual phase so the family will receive income from the service. If at any time the families’ monthly income goes below 85% of the SMI so the family will need no longer of the child care assistance so the child care case will be closed for that family. The child care provider should be chosen between the following:

• A state-licensed child care center
• A state-licensed child care family home.
