Equipment Program

The Connecticut Durable Medical Equipment Program provides medical equipment to eligible patients under the Medicare Plan B. The medical patient needs to fulfill certain conditions to avail the program services. The Durable Medical Equipment Program comes under the Medicare program and is administered by the Department of Social Services (DSS) which also provides healthcare services to individuals and families through the Medicaid program in the state of Connecticut.

Program Requirements

    The applicant is supposed to use the medical equipment primarily for the sake of medical uses only.
  7. The equipment can also be sued by person who has been prescribed by the physician
  8. The Medicare agency needs to provide certification for the medical equipment

You can apply for the Connecticut Durable Medical Equipment Program by going to the Connecticut Department of Social Services Page website.  The application needs to be sent to the Community Health Network of Connecticut (CHNCT) online portal where it is processed.
