A landmark digital health partnership has just been announced by the World Health Organization (WHO) along with the European Commission. In the recent pleasant news in the health department, WHO will opt to take up all European Union (EU) digital systems of Covid-19 and implement it. It will eventually help the consumers, patients and even health care workers to be more mobile and global.

In addition, it will help in the prevention of giant pandemics and viral infections in the larger picture. Not to forget that this is one of a kind and is the very first time that the World Health Organization is building a global Digital Health Certificate Network (GDHCN). And that too to this large extent. Furthermore, whole announcing the initiative, WHO general-director Tedros Adhanom reiterated;

“Building on the EU’s highly successful digital certificate network, WHO aims to offer all WHO Member States Access to an open-source digital health tool. It is based on the basis of sheer equity, innovation, transparency, data protection, and privacy.”

This historic and pertinent partnership of the European Union and World Health Organization will surly be a work for great development, management and then eventually implementation of WHO GDHCN initiative. It is surely a global step up to aim for a better health of people across the board. Negating any social, financial, cultural and religious backgrounds and dreaming of a brighter, healthier and fit tomorrow.
